Mertcan Özdemir

I am a biomedical engineer working on medical image processing and deep learning for MRI.

I recently completed my PhD at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, where I developed diffusion models with asymmetric attention for synthesising cardiac cine MRI. Before that I spent three years building medical devices in industry, leading TÜBİTAK-funded R&D projects and taking patient monitoring hardware from concept to certification.

I am currently looking to extend my research towards ultra-high field MRI acquisition and reconstruction.
